The Story
The “Plattan” in Plattan headphones is Swedish for “the slab.” It’s also a nickname for Sergels torg, a sunken pedestrian square located at the heart of Stockholm. The architecture might have been controversial at first, but today it’s just iconic.
It’s that place everyone passes through, and is a popular meet up spot for teens, dealers, and demonstrators alike. Up until 2002, it was also home to a famous one-woman-orchestra. But the best part is its giant black and white tiles, and the fact that it connects you to some of the best cultural sites in the city.
